Lionel is our Iron-Age chieftain and a model from Paris, France who spent most of his life in the desert worshiping Satan and practicing witchcraft. Naturally, there were no pencils, papers, computers or anything like that.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â I had to kill wild animals, disembowel them and get a nice clean skin off them. I used wild berries to write on the animal skin. I wrote poems and short stories and dreamt about becoming a journalist one day.
How did you end up in Norway and working for Utropia?
-         I arrived to Tromsø in 2009 to see the Northern lights and some penguins. I walked around the campus and a man approached me. He asked how I liked the local university newspapers. I said I loved them. Then he said they are looking for people with strong looks to become journalists. I was wearing a polar bear fur coat and a wolf head by then and my long dark curly hair blew in the wind. I was happy. I agreed on becoming a volunteer for Utropia.
How do you enjoy working for Utropia, Lionel?
-         It is the best thing in the civilized world that has ever happened to me! The people there are extremely devoted and serious. The opportunity to cover virtually any cultural event in the city appeals to me as well. They like me a lot. They call me Dark Prince, Devil, Dark Lord, they play with my hair and brush it often and stuff. I am happy!
Where do you see yourself in five years, Lionel?
-         I will live in the mountains in the Northern Norway. Now when I learned how to use computers, papers and pencils, I know that it is nothing for me. I want my peace and to listen to my underground black metal tapes on my antique tape recorder. However, I cannot abandon my and Stewart’s (politisk redaktør) black metal band. So, I will be back. I am always back.
